We haven’t had Truffle Pig for a while and my apologies for that.
If you haven’t seen this wine, think about a wine that tastes like a Pine/Lime Splice. Sweet, but sour and creamy too.
Devoted Truffle Pig drinkers are probably unimpressed that all our Chenin Blanc has been going into the Prosciutto these last few years, but we have been unimpressed also with the size of the crops these last few years.
Anyhow, in 2018 crops were up and we had the idea of blending Pedro Ximenez from Moree into the Chenin Blanc to fill out the palate of this off dry wine.
It worked a treat.
Its a lovely little drink. Low alcohol. Approachable young with good mid-term cellaring ability.
Try it with spicy dishes.
