2020 house of bricks shiraz
in our range we have the house of straw, house of sticks and then the house of bricks.
like with the three little pigs it goes light, strong and then stronger.
for the big stuff, i like to go down to mclaren vale on the southern side of adelaide and bring shiraz up from there for the bricks range.
these are big, uncompromising wines full of new oak, big tannins and deep colours. not for the faint-hearted.
if you approach one of these wines in their youth they will be a big mouthful of flavour. if you have good cellaring conditions they will age gracefully over a decade.
try them with a few years of bottle age in the dead of winter with a slow cooked meal.
