the house of straw range wines are designed to be lighter and more elegant compared to the robust sticks and bricks range. and, as such we have sourced shiraz from the town of young to use in this wine.
young is a much cooler climate than the hunter valley and has a habit of making wines that are more fragrant and gentler. a small addition of viognier helps to further raise the aromatics and smooth the tannin structure out.
this is an easy drinking wine well suited to enjoying with friends as well as pairing to tender cuts of red meat. Enjoy over the next 5 years.
