2022 trevor mctinpig shiraz

trevor is a shiraz from our hunter stable.

2022 had a bit of everything in terms of weather so it’s always interesting to see what vineyards still hit the high notes when the conditions are less than ideal.

this vineyard on deasy’s road has a proven track record and was expertly guided to ripeness in the cool summer of 2022. the grapes were picked, destemmed and chilled for 5 days to gently extract colour and flavour into the wine without harshness. the ferment was cool to retain fruit flavours and the wine was gently pressed into oak to finish fermentation and for ageing.

The resulting wine is elegant, soft and approachable with notes of brambly fruits and vanilla beans.
