this is a new blend for the winery, with our first intake of fruit out of rylstone occurring in 2023. rylstone is properly cold, but does have a climate that suits the production of varietals such as merlot.

we discovered a clever blend of cabernet from young with rylstone merlot which was just right. perfumed, elegant and structured this is a great example of cool climate cabernet merlot.

wines such as this can be enjoyed in their youth with a roast lamb meal or cellared for many years to enjoy as an aged wine.
