surly pig is a name given to our leaner, greener, tighter chardonnay that we make in a mixture of stainless steel and old oak. often people who proclaim they don't like chardonnay have to agree that this one is ok.
it's an earlier pick than what we would normally do, so the flavours are more white nectarine, then peach and pineapple. the use of old oak and stainless steel keeps the fruit in the foreground and maintains a lively, fresh palate.
a great wine for cooked seafood dishes.
